What Are Triple Band Filters?
Triple band filters, also called multiband filters or triband filters, are bandpass filters with three distinct wavelength regions that can be transmitted through the component. For example, a triple band filter might allow light with wavelengths of 450, 510, and 640 through the filter while blocking all other light. Microscopists can use these filters to excite, detect, and isolate fluorophores and distinct types of fluorescence in a given sample; because triple band filters can detect three types of light at once, they can handle these tasks simultaneously for multiple wavelengths.
Triple band filters are built for precise in-band transmission and out-of-band blocking so operators can accurately use fluorescence instruments.
