LIDAR Filters

LIDAR stands for ‘Light Detection And Ranging’ sensors. These highly versatile devices can send and scan a pulsed laser through an environment and calculate the exact sensor orientation and position to determine the reflected signals’ return time. 

The most significant component of LIDAR sensors are their filters which separate target signals from others and prevent external light, including sunlight, from hitting the detector. By using this method, you can measure the precise distance of any object on the surface of the earth. The LIDAR system can use a range of filters depending on its use. 

Uses and Applications of LIDAR Filters
